Embedded Software & Hardware Tester (Automotive)

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden; flexible hybrid working model.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and automate test cases for embedded software and system functions.
• Verify functionality, interfaces, diagnostics, and communication behavior using HIL environments, simulation tools, and target hardware.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root-cause analysis with developers and system engineers.
• Validate middleware, low-level drivers, diagnostics, and communication protocols across the embedded software stack.
• Improve test automation frameworks, test methods, tools, and CI/CD processes.
• Align verification activities with automotive quality, functional safety, and cybersecurity requirements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
• Mid-level experience in embedded software testing or development, focused on real-time embedded systems.
• Strong understanding of AUTOSAR BSW and proficiency in C.
• Excellent knowledge of CAN and Automotive Ethernet, with deep familiarity with UDS.
• Hands-on experience with Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, and vTESTstudio, plus Python, CAPL, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience with HIL-based requirement, integration, and system testing; knowledge of ISO 26262 and automotive cybersecurity standards.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of low-level protocols and firmware interfaces such as SPI, UART, PWM, DIO, and PSI5.
• Experience working in multicultural, cross-functional engineering environments.
