Experienced Technical QA Engineer (Game Development)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; hybrid work with office attendance required on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays

What you will do

• Work as an embedded Technical QA Engineer within an Engine or Internal Tools development team.
• Define acceptance criteria, identify risks, and plan testing coverage for features and releases.
• Perform manual, integration, editor and tools, performance, and technical testing.
• Create and maintain end-to-end tests, test plans, test cases, and release/change management processes.
• Develop and maintain QA tools such as remote consoles, debugging tools, local servers, and CLI utilities.
• Report and regress bugs, participate in team planning and triage, and mentor other QA Engineers.

Requirements

• Several years of software industry experience, including at least three years in the video games industry.
• Hands-on experience with game engines, content and asset editors, software tools, and shared technologies.
• Familiarity with source control, debuggers, and software development tools such as Perforce and Visual Studio.
• Understanding of build systems, continuous integration, unit tests, automated functional tests, and testing frameworks.
• Experience with QA methodologies, test automation, development planning tools, and defect tracking systems.
• Scripting experience with Python or JavaScript, shell scripting, and CLI tools, plus an understanding of C++.
