Test Engineer – Software, Electronics & Hardware (Automotive)

What you will do

• Plan, execute, and document verification and validation activities for embedded automotive body and vehicle functions.
• Develop and maintain manual and automated test cases, test scripts, methods, and related documentation.
• Coordinate test activities, equipment, and device-under-test readiness with engineering stakeholders and suppliers.
• Test components, systems, and full vehicles using physical test rigs, hardware-in-the-loop environments, and real vehicles.
• Perform fault tracing, log analysis, and signal and measurement evaluation on components and actuators.
• Review test results, manage fault reports, support root cause analysis, and contribute to corrective actions, CI integration, and quality assurance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with system verification and validation in embedded or automotive environments.
• Strong experience designing test cases, executing tests, and writing automation scripts.
• Ability to trace faults and analyze logs, signals, and measurement data.
• Experience with electrical schematics and measurement tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Valid Category B driver’s license in Sweden and English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with CANalyzer, CANoe, INCA, vTestStudio, or VT System.
• Experience with configuration, calibration, and embedded-system lifecycle management tools.
• Experience with test management, ALM or PLM systems, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation frameworks.
• Experience testing embedded systems across hardware and software integration layers.
