Senior Cloud Security Engineer (AWS)

Location: Bellevue, WA; Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. Other compensation zones include Denver, Westlake, Chicago, Lake Mary, Clearwater, and Gainesville.

Base pay: $187,000–$220,000 USD in Zone 1; $165,000–$194,000 USD in Zone 2; $146,000–$172,000 USD in Zone 3, plus bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and improve the security posture of the cloud infrastructure supporting Robinhood products.
• Build and operate solutions that protect foundational AWS infrastructure.
• Provide developers with security capabilities, safe defaults, paved roads, and intuitive tools.
• Configure and set up systems using a safety-first approach.
• Help manage network traffic and reduce excessive employee access through least-privilege controls.

Requirements

• Experience securing enterprise applications and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Proficiency with Golang or Python.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
• Expert knowledge of AWS security services, including IAM, Service Control Policies, AWS WAF, and AWS Network Firewall.
• Strong command of the AWS Well-Architected framework and CIS Benchmarks.
