Senior Data Scientist (Fintech)

Location: Milton Keynes, United Kingdom; hybrid working with office attendance at least 12 days per month

Salary: £76,000–£114,000 per annum depending on experience; £6,000 annual car allowance

What you will do

• Research, design, and implement advanced machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and other AI algorithms.
• Lead predictive modelling, machine learning, statistical analysis, and advanced analytics initiatives for complex business problems.
• Translate business challenges into scientific problem statements and build impactful AI/ML prototypes and models.
• Develop accurate, fair, and sustainable models using large-scale structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, ML Ops Engineers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to deploy solutions into production.
• Contribute to AI best practices, model governance, responsible AI frameworks, and collaboration with academia and the global AI community.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience working with large datasets and developing models.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience supported by professional certification or licences.
• Knowledge of advanced analytics and its business applications, data mining application design, and machine learning project performance monitoring.
• Ability to conduct development walkthroughs, monitor quality, and prepare management reports on potential business performance issues.
• Ability to build and justify business cases and value propositions using cost, benefits, ROI, opportunities, and risks.
• English required; candidates must have the right to work in the UK to commence employment.
