Software Engineer, (Java/Python) Backend Engineer

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; primarily in-office at the Prague office

What you will do

• Own and deliver innovations from concept through shipped product.
• Design, develop, and maintain customer-facing and internal APIs and command-line interfaces for configuring and managing FlashArray and FlashBlade products.
• Build middleware for scale-out all-flash file and object storage products using Java, Python, and other technologies.
• Experiment with new technologies and architectural patterns to create innovative solutions.
• Analyze and solve complex engineering problems while collaborating with other engineers.
• Contribute to design, development, unit testing, code reviews, documentation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with Java, Python, Golang, or comparable programming experience.
• Strong design sensibility and willingness to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Experience or interest in distributed systems, algorithms, operating systems, Linux kernel, database internals, hypervisors, containers, compilers, or hardware.
• Ability to work in an open-office and team environment.
• Expected to work from the Prague office unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
