Strategy Consultant (Banking & Financial Services)

Location: 55 Baker Street, London, W1U 8EW, United Kingdom. Hybrid working with at least three days per week in the local office or onsite with clients.

What you will do

• Break down complex banking and financial services problems into discrete tasks and identify core issues.
• Plan and execute sophisticated analyses, identify trends, draw conclusions, and develop practical recommendations.
• Lead project teams and workstreams, manage small teams, and guide junior consultants.
• Manage day-to-day project delivery and lead clients through the problem-solving process from initial analysis to final solution.
• Work directly with clients and project team members while building strong client relationships.
• Support strategy, technology, and transformation projects for banks, investors, capital markets firms, insurers, central banks, and finance ministries.

Requirements

• At least 4–8 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm or similar organization.
• In-depth knowledge of the banking sector.
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, including the ability to conduct and leverage sophisticated analyses.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in formal and informal settings.
• An undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program.
• Ability to take initiative, learn new skills, and apply existing expertise.
• Creativity and the ability to develop novel solutions to complex client problems.
• Aptitude for analytical work involving large data sets and complex challenges.
• Ability to work fluidly and respectfully with colleagues.
• Willingness to travel.

Nice to have

• Fluency in English and one other language, preferably French, German, Spanish, or Dutch.
