Senior/Lead Golang Software Engineer

Location: Ukraine, Bulgaria, or Poland; Remote/Office

hirify.global provides software engineering services, with this role embedded in a client’s GPU cloud and AI infrastructure platform.

What you will do

• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex production issues across APIs, control plane services, and web applications.
• Own bug resolution from analysis through implementation, improving system consistency, accuracy, and performance.
• Develop and enhance Go-based services operating across a fleet of more than 5,000 machines.
• Collaborate with client engineers, infrastructure specialists, and observability stakeholders to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Increase test coverage for services interacting with operating-system components and external commands.
• Refactor code, improve concurrency and context handling, and modernize the Terraform provider across the platform API.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production experience with Go.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving complex issues in live production systems.
• Practical knowledge of concurrency patterns, context management, and scalable distributed-system design.
• Networking fundamentals for distributed and multi-region infrastructure.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with client-side engineers and stakeholders.
• Good English proficiency is required for communication in a global environment.

Nice to have

• Systems-level engineering experience in distributed environments.
• Understanding of Linux processes, namespaces, cgroups, and container runtime behavior.
• Experience improving codebases with technical debt and identifying high-impact improvements.
