Tax Credit Equity Underwriter (Fintech)

What you will do

• Underwrite LIHTC, Historic Tax Credit, New Markets Tax Credit, and Renewable Energy Tax Credit investments.
• Compile and analyze market studies, cash flow projections, investment summaries, economic benefit schedules, sponsor financial statements, and other due diligence materials.
• Prepare internal bank investment approval memos with the Relationship Manager and support screening, approval, and closing processes.
• Review term sheets, Letters of Intent, funding and operating agreements, capital call agreements, and consent agreements from a financial perspective.
• Coordinate required documentation and data with legal counsel, Credit Administration, accounting, tax, CRA, and other internal stakeholders.
• Support regulatory applications and confirm that approvals and investment representations are complete before closing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, or at least 9 years of combined higher education and work experience including 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience reviewing and analyzing developer-prepared projections, real estate and cash flow schedules, audited financial statements, tax credit applications, and Limited Partnership Agreements.
• Strong relationship building, stakeholder management, customer focus, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to make decisions and work consistently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
