Senior Platform Backend Engineer (Go/Rust, Distributed Systems)

What you will do

• Build and operate backend platform services for API access, event routing, workflow execution, machine identity, and immutable audit records.
• Develop event-driven integrations that transform PSA webhooks, RMM alerts, and platform events into durable workflows using Kafka and Temporal.
• Implement secrets-management and KMS abstractions with cloud key-management providers, envelope encryption, bring-your-own-key models, and customer-level cryptographic isolation.
• Build authentication, authorization, and secure connector services with scoped access, capability grants, credential management, request validation, and audit logging.
• Own GitOps-based deployment pipelines and onboarding automation across isolated customer environments.
• Maintain production reliability through monitoring, distributed tracing, incident response, root-cause analysis, and corrective improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience, including building and operating production services with Go or Rust.
• Experience designing event-driven systems with Kafka or similar technologies, including retries, idempotency, replay, and at-least-once delivery.
• Experience implementing authentication or authorization with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, token lifecycle management, machine identity, or fine-grained access controls.
• Experience implementing encryption or key-management solutions using cloud KMS platforms, envelope encryption, or key-hierarchy designs.
• Experience operating multi-tenant production services with structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and incident-response practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Temporal, identity platforms such as Zitadel, Keycloak, Auth0, or Okta, and audit-focused data stores such as ClickHouse.
• Experience with GitOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, or cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience integrating MSP, PSA, RMM, security, or Microsoft 365 APIs.
• Experience developing software for SOC 2, HIPAA, CMMC, or similar compliance environments.
