Junior Internal Auditor (Fintech)

What you will do

• Support internal audit issue tracking, departmental administration, and management information preparation.
• Prepare papers and presentations for management, the Board Audit Committee, and governance forums.
• Plan audit assignments through preliminary research, process documentation, and identification of key risks and controls.
• Perform control testing, document audit evidence, identify control weaknesses, and escalate issues to the audit lead.
• Draft working papers, audit findings, and sections of audit reports for review.
• Collaborate with co-source partners, second-line functions, and external auditors while using data analytics and AI tools to improve audit work.

Requirements

• Degree-level education in finance, accounting, internal audit, or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of risk management, governance, and internal control principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to document testing and communicate findings clearly and accurately.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Docs.
• High standards of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, with an interest in financial services regulation and FCA requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in internal audit, risk, or compliance within financial services.
• Experience with data analysis tools and Jira.
