Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid working with primarily office-based work, occasional project-site visits, and travel to other offices

What you will do
- Lead and develop the Mechanical Services Department, including workload planning, recruitment, mentoring, performance reviews, and professional development.
- Oversee Mechanical Services activities across projects and support project setup, execution, design reviews, progress monitoring, and delivery risk resolution.
- Act as Mechanical Services Lead on selected projects and coordinate work with design, project management, procurement, construction, and commissioning functions.
- Support bids and business development by preparing resource plans, project estimates, scopes, deliverables, execution strategies, and risk considerations.
- Provide technical leadership across HVAC, utilities, plumbing, public health, and fire protection systems.
- Maintain technical quality, safe design principles, department standards, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering project delivery experience.
- Experience leading Mechanical or Building Services teams in a design or project delivery environment.
- Experience with pharmaceutical, food, mission critical, laboratory, or commercial projects.
- Proven experience in bids, project planning, resource management, multidisciplinary coordination, and project delivery.
- Strong leadership, communication, organisational, commercial, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
Nice to have
- Chartered Engineer status or an equivalent professional qualification.
