Staff Software Engineer, AI Solutions

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize AI-powered solutions within ServiceNow and through external custom integrations.
• Build custom MCP tooling and agentic solutions, integrating and orchestrating third-party LLMs such as OpenAI and Google Gemini.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and business analysts to identify AI adoption opportunities, clarify requirements, and deliver AI-driven business outcomes.
• Develop and manage integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise applications, including API development, scripting, framework deployment, and scalable connection management.
• Troubleshoot ServiceNow configurations and AI components, identify requirement gaps, and provide configuration options with clear trade-offs.
• Author technical design and build documentation, estimate work, and communicate progress in project meetings and daily scrums.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, 2 years with an advanced degree, 0 years with a PhD, or 8+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience building AI-powered solutions, agents, or conversational applications.
• Strong Python skills and experience building RESTful or GraphQL APIs; knowledge of APIs, web services, and relational databases.
• Experience with JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, CSS, REST, SOAP, and HTML.
• Experience with Generative AI, prompt engineering, LLM fine-tuning, RAG, MCP servers, agent architectures, agent evaluation, and responsible AI.
• Strong ServiceNow development experience, including UI Policies, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Business Rules, Mid Server, Import Sets, Transform Maps, Update Sets, CMDB, data modeling, ITSM, and ITOM.

Nice to have

• Certified ServiceNow Admin, Certified Implementation Specialist, or Certified Application Developer certification.
