Software Engineer, iOS / Mobile (Health Wearable)

Location: Hybrid in San Carlos, California, with 3+ days per week onsite and remote work permitted on remaining days. All work must be performed in the United States.

Salary: $135,000–$260,000 base salary per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design and implement iOS features with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and modern iOS frameworks.
• Build health and fitness applications integrating HealthKit and wearable devices.
• Structure data-rich interfaces that visualize health and biometric data clearly.
• Design polished charts and data displays for real-time crew health monitoring.
• Apply secure storage and privacy practices for sensitive health data, including Keychain and encryption.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers through code reviews, testing, documentation, and delivery.

Requirements

• 3+ years of iOS development experience, or equivalent experience through internships, projects, or coursework.
• Experience with Swift and SwiftUI, plus exposure to UIKit and common iOS frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with HealthKit and health or wearable applications.
• Experience building charts, dashboards, or data visualizations in iOS applications.
• Understanding of iOS security and privacy practices, asynchronous programming, and maintainable architecture.
• Must be a U.S. Person and eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship and visa transfers are not available.

Nice to have

• Passion for aviation and flight safety.
• Experience with safety-critical or mission-critical systems.
• Familiarity with navigation, flight-related frameworks, CI/CD, cloud-backed mobile systems, sensors, or hardware-adjacent systems.
