Motion Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco or New York, with remote work listed

Salary: $190,000–$240,000 plus equity

What you will do

• Define and evolve Baseten's motion language and scalable motion systems.
• Create high-craft motion work for product launches, social media, campaigns, web, events, and out-of-home advertising.
• Concept and produce video content that makes technical products clear, compelling, and memorable.
• Develop work across different scales, from short social clips to large-scale campaigns.
• Collaborate with brand design, product, product marketing, and leadership to bring identity systems and product stories to life.
• Experiment with new formats, tools, techniques, and emerging technology while raising the company's motion quality bar.

Requirements

• Exceptional portfolio demonstrating motion, visual design, and production craft.
• Strong foundations in typography, composition, pacing, sound, and storytelling.
• Ability to own projects end to end, from concept and storyboarding through design, animation, and final production.
• Experience across brand systems, product storytelling, campaign work, and experimental ideas.
• Ability to communicate complex technical and AI concepts without relying on generic visual treatment.
• Comfort with ownership, ambiguity, strong opinions, and a high quality bar.
