Motion Designer

Location: Remote (USA)

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Design and animate motion graphics for brand videos, product explainers, campaign content, and event deliverables.
• Translate technical and strategic product concepts into clear, credible, and engaging visual stories.
• Develop the visual language for product motion, including UI animation, data visualization, abstract sequences, and typography-driven storytelling.
• Own and evolve the motion design system, including transitions, animated iconography, and animation principles.
• Scope projects from concept through final delivery with brand, product marketing, and design partners.
• Collaborate with video editors on hybrid pieces, adding motion graphics, titles, and effects.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio demonstrating motion design, visual storytelling, art direction, animation craft, and visual systems thinking.
• Track record of making technical ideas visually clear.
• Deep fluency with motion design tools and workflows such as After Effects, Figma, Cinema 4D, Lottie, Rive, or comparable tools.
• Strong typography and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to create and consistently reuse a visual language.
• Comfort working in Figma and collaborating with Product Designers to translate complex UI into marketing motion.
• Ability to work effectively as a collaborative team member with a distinctive aesthetic perspective.
