BAI - Competitive Intelligence Manager, Cardiovascular

Location: Flexible commuter role based in Thousand Oaks, California, or Deerfield, Illinois, with a minimum of 2 days on site highly encouraged. Some travel of 15–20% is required.

What you will do

• Lead competitive intelligence gathering for US and global marketing teams across the cardiovascular portfolio.
• Synthesize primary and secondary research into strategic insights, competitive points of view, and recommended actions.
• Partner with disease-area, brand, corporate, global, regional, and cross-functional teams to define business problems and analysis plans.
• Facilitate strategic and red-team exercises, competitive intelligence collection, and debriefs at major medical conferences.
• Manage vendors, internal data sources, multiple priorities, and project delivery standards.
• Present analyses and recommendations while communicating evidence levels and enforcing legal and ethical guidelines.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree; or master's degree plus 2 years of consulting or competitive intelligence experience; or bachelor's degree plus 4 years; or associate degree plus 8 years; or high school diploma/GED plus 10 years.
• Experience in strategic analysis, competitive intelligence, consulting, or related biopharma work.
• Ability to analyze data, apply structured problem solving, and explain complex concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage simultaneous projects and data sources.
• Strong collaboration, written communication, oral communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work from or commute to the Thousand Oaks or Deerfield office locations, with on-site attendance highly encouraged.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in life sciences or business, such as a PhD, MS, or MBA.
• Life sciences consulting or cardiovascular project experience.
• Biopharma strategy or management consulting experience.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular disease areas, competitive dynamics, and unmet medical needs.
