Associate Project Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Audubon, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite role with required surgery and lab attendance

What you will do

• Design and develop spinal instruments and implants using Pro/E.
• Coordinate rapid prototyping and evaluation with the internal prototype shop and external vendors.
• Perform design verification and validation to confirm products meet specifications.
• Manage product development from concept through manufacturing, FDA approval, launch, and post-introduction monitoring.
• Create project plans and maintain Design History Files while ensuring compliance with quality systems and applicable regulations.
• Partner with surgeons, customers, marketing, product management, operations, sales, and suppliers on product requirements, forecasting, manufacturing, training, and market feedback.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of mechanical design engineering experience; medical device experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; four additional years of design experience may substitute for the degree.
• Proficiency in Pro/E for design and drafting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Project.
• Ability to travel 10–15% and attend surgeries and/or laboratories.
