Global Indirect Tax Senior Associate - Property Tax

Location: Hybrid role based in Downers Grove or Chicago, Illinois, United States, with in-person attendance at least three days per week at a hirify.global office or client site.

Salary: $101,200–$129,300 base salary per year.

What you will do

• Prepare or assist with simple to complex US property tax returns for clients.
• Review assessment notices and reconcile them against rendered values.
• Process and review property tax bill payments.
• Communicate with clients, teammates, and taxing jurisdictions to gather information and resolve tax matters.
• Research property tax laws and regulations and provide accurate client support.
• Participate in professional development and training sessions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an accounting degree is preferred.
• Two to six years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• CPA, JD, or Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with property tax administration software such as PTMS and OneSource.
