Senior Design Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Own the detailed design of an electric engine, integrating the motor, gearbox, inverter, and thermo-lubrication systems.
• Take design ownership of multiple components through manufacturing, assembly, testing, and validation.
• Design mechanical components including gears, shafts, pumps, structural housings, fasteners, and oil-transfer devices.
• Create component drawings and collaborate with suppliers to manufacture designs.
• Perform component-level finite element analysis and present designs in technical reviews.
• Design validation test setups and support engineering prototype builds and testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a Master’s degree with the applicable experience alternative.
• At least 60 months of experience in mechanical design, gearbox design, or engine and propulsion design; alternatively, 24 months with a Master’s degree.
• Experience as an Aerospace Design Engineer or in a related role.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
