Senior Associate, Private Markets (Private Markets Accounting)

Location: Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (Hybrid)

What you will do

• Prepare accurate and timely fund accounting work for private equity and real assets funds.
• Maintain workpapers covering capital activity, income and expense accruals, and investment transactions.
• Update distribution waterfall and carried interest models.
• Calculate management fees and prepare supporting schedules.
• Review transaction documentation, perform bank reconciliations, and process journal entries.
• Support year-end audits and communicate with clients, auditors, legal counsel, and tax advisors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in alternative investments or private markets.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles for investment partnerships.
• Experience preparing and reviewing general ledgers, workpapers, and financial statements.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience with private equity, real assets, or other alternative investment funds.
• CPA or MBA designation, or progress toward certification.
• Experience with carried interest calculations, complex fund structures, and financial statement audits.
