Journalism Coordinator-Part Time :EXTEND

Location: hirify.global Radio Cambridgeshire, Cambridge, UK — office-based role

Salary: £24,500–£27,000 per annum, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

What you will do

• Support the producer and presenter in preparing and delivering the shared Saturday and Sunday daytime show.
• Help output eight hours of live radio programming each week across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
• Produce and edit audio and manage live sources during broadcasts.
• Line up guests, speak with callers and prepare contributors for going on air.
• Compile travel news and develop story ideas, treatments, scripts and research backgrounds.
• Support a multiplatform content approach using social media and digital opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience of outputting live radio programmes.
• Experience working with presenters and supporting a live studio environment.
• Experience using social media and digital opportunities to engage audiences.
• Ability to develop creative treatments for strong storytelling.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while remaining calm under pressure.
• Applicants must identify as deaf, disabled or neurodivergent and meet the applicable statutory definition of disability.

• Knowledge of Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
