What you will do
- Set the technical direction for complex, business-critical life sciences projects and balance speed, innovation, and reliability.
- Design and implement reliable, production-grade machine learning solutions with documented architectures and specifications.
- Define project problems, create defensible roadmaps, and oversee end-to-end delivery across multidisciplinary workstreams.
- Lead technical scoping and feasibility studies for high-value sales opportunities and strategic customer engagements.
- Manage technical stakeholder relationships and align solutions with long-term commercial goals.
- Drive data science best practices while mentoring scientists and contributing to organisational technical excellence.
Requirements
- Proven project management expertise, including breaking complex, ill-defined problems into actionable workstreams with timelines.
- Strong customer leadership skills and the ability to act as a trusted technical advisor.
- Deep expertise in at least one machine learning domain and broad knowledge across data science.
- Technical leadership experience, including mentoring individuals, managing teams and other managers, and implementing tools and workflows.
- Experience managing high-risk tasks and delivering practical, innovative outcomes under commercial pressure.
- Experience aligning technical strategy with Engineering, Commercial, and Infrastructure teams and contributing to business-unit initiatives.
