Equipment Operator

Location: Onsite in Dickerson, Maryland, USA

Salary: $27.36–$36.39 per hour

What you will do

• Receive and process inbound materials and refuse using forklifts, track hoes, skid steers, trucks, pressure washers, material-handling equipment, and hand tools.
• Receive, weigh, unpack, and label containers as needed.
• Consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor while following safe operating procedures.
• Maintain assigned areas through housekeeping, litter collection, painting, snow removal, and ice prevention.
• Control incoming and outgoing traffic and assist facility mechanics with equipment repairs.
• Perform additional duties supporting safe and efficient facility operations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience operating industrial equipment.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, and lift or carry up to 50 lb.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
