Lead Frontend Engineer (React)

Location: Kraków, Poland; hybrid

Salary: 270,000–406,000 PLN base salary range, plus an annual performance bonus and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Set and communicate the frontend architecture vision across multiple platform teams.
• Lead shared UI infrastructure, design system components, and micro frontend integration using React, TypeScript, and PrimeReact.
• Collaborate with architects, Staff and Principal Engineers, product, UX, and engineering leadership on scalable frontend capabilities.
• Drive accessibility, performance, maintainability, testing, component versioning, documentation, and CI/CD practices.
• Improve frontend performance through lazy loading, code splitting, asset optimization, telemetry, and cross-browser testing.
• Mentor mid-level and senior engineers while exploring AI-enhanced UI/UX such as smart components, generative layouts, and adaptive interfaces.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of professional frontend development experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.
• Advanced JavaScript, TypeScript, and React skills.
• Experience building shared design systems with PrimeReact, Material UI, Bootstrap, or Tailwind.
• Strong knowledge of semantic HTML, modern CSS, SASS/LESS, responsive design, WCAG accessibility standards, and frontend performance profiling.
• Experience with Micro Frontend architectures, REST APIs, GraphQL, asynchronous programming, CI/CD, Vite or Webpack, and automated testing.
• Ability to lead architectural reviews, pair programming, hands-on development, and technical mentoring.

Nice to have

• .NET or backend experience with Node or Python.
• UX knowledge and experience with design system governance.
• AI-driven UI/UX experience, including chatbot integration, recommendations, personalization, or adaptive layouts.
• Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
