TL;DR
Staff Software Engineer, Frontend (Fintech): Defining frontend architecture and technical direction for core payments, merchant, or consumer platform areas with an accent on design systems, micro-frontends, performance, accessibility, and scalable API integration. Focus on evolving an agentic engineering harness, documenting architectural trade-offs through ADRs and RFCs, and driving cross-team technical change without direct authority.
Location: Hybrid model with preferably 1 day per week in the Warsaw or Cracow office, Poland

InPost Pay is building a fintech platform from the ground up for large-scale international operations, with an AI-native engineering organization in Poland.
What you will do
- Define and maintain frontend architecture across Payments Core, Merchant, or Consumer platform areas.
- Set component architecture, design-system boundaries, micro-frontend patterns, client-side state management, and performance budgets across multiple teams.
- Author ADRs, RFCs, and design documentation while facilitating technical decisions and trade-off analysis.
- Evaluate frontend frameworks, libraries, build tooling, rendering strategies, and accessibility standards.
- Evolve and measure the agentic development harness for frontend workflows using adoption and friction data.
- Drive organization-wide technical changes, contribute to product strategy, and mentor Staff-track engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in cross-team technical leadership or architecture authority.
- 3+ years building customer-facing or merchant-facing products in payments or fintech.
- Expert experience with a modern frontend framework such as React and TypeScript at scale.
- Experience with design systems, component architecture, micro-frontends, client-side state management, Core Web Vitals, bundle optimization, and SSR/CSR/ISR trade-offs.
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and REST, GraphQL, asynchronous, and event-based API contracts.
- English proficiency at B2 level or above; university degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

- Platform or internal developer tooling experience.
- Agentic or LLM system design experience.
- BNPL or lending domain experience.
- React Native, WebSockets, streaming updates, or internationalization architecture experience.
- Polish language skills, open-source contributions, or technical publishing.
