Senior Data Engineer (Google BigQuery)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic — hybrid

What you will do

• Migrate data solutions, ETL processes, and transformations from Teradata to Google BigQuery.
• Analyze and adapt existing SQL queries and data transformations for the target platform.
• Validate data quality and the results of the migration.
• Perform testing and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Support the integration of migrated solutions into production.
• Follow established methodologies and collaborate with a small expert team.

Requirements

• Solid professional experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large data volumes.
• Knowledge of data warehouses, ETL processes, and data transformations.
• Hands-on experience with Git and version control.
• Good understanding of IT environments and development tools.
• Ability to work independently and solve technical problems.

Nice to have

• Google BigQuery or GCP experience.
• Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer experience.
• Python, Docker, and YAML experience.
• Experience with data warehouse or platform migrations, ETL/ELT, and data integration.
• Teradata migration experience.
