Data Engineer (AWS/Pharma): Building and supporting scalable cloud-based data solutions and pipelines for pharmaceutical enterprise and laboratory systems with an accent on AWS data services, SQL, big data processing, and system integration. Focus on developing transformations with Python, Scala, or PySpark, integrating SAP, GLIMS, and Veeva, and ensuring data quality and reliable processing.

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services.
- Build cloud data solutions with S3, AWS Glue, and Athena.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries on distributed data platforms such as Trino/Presto and Databricks.
- Create data transformation processes with Python, Scala, or PySpark.
- Integrate enterprise and laboratory data from SAP, GLIMS, and Veeva systems.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, efficient processing, and continuous improvement while collaborating with data, IT, and business teams in an Agile environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on AWS experience, particularly with S3, Glue, and Athena.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Trino/Presto or Databricks.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or PySpark.
- Experience integrating data from ERP and laboratory systems.
- Fluent English required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills are also expected.
Nice to have
- Experience with Agile and CI/CD environments.
- Knowledge of GxP and data integrity requirements.
- Previous experience with SAP ERP.
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or life sciences.
