Principal AI Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Develop and integrate AI-powered capabilities into a maritime port call management platform.
• Convert manual processes into fully or partially automated workflows.
• Build solutions that reduce repetitive work and improve efficiency for operations teams and customers.
• Develop predictive capabilities for answering questions from historical knowledge bases and forecasting costs.
• Automate tasks through chatbot-style interactions and AI agents.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an AI/ML Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, prompt engineering, RAG, and LLM orchestration.
• Experience designing, training, and deploying ML models in production environments.
• Strong Python skills and knowledge of machine learning algorithms, TensorFlow or PyTorch, Pandas, and NumPy.
• Understanding of MLOps, model versioning, monitoring, CI/CD, cloud deployment, SDLC, agile methodologies, and Git.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher required.

Nice to have

• Java programming experience.
• Production Python architecture, monorepos, uv, microservices, Gunicorn, and FastAPI.
• Infrastructure as code with Azure and Bicep.
• Automated production-grade deployment of AI/LLM models.
• Cloud architecture and a strong data science background.
