AI First DevOps Engineer

What you will do

• Evolve and maintain cloud infrastructure, delivery systems, observability, and self-service platforms at scale.
• Develop and adopt AI-centered tools that improve development and operations efficiency.
• Partner with engineering teams to improve API and platform performance, reliability, scalability, security, and cost.
• Maintain production availability against SLOs and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Investigate incidents through resolution and implement measures that prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with developers, weather scientists, and R&D stakeholders while improving internal engineering practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a DevOps or Platform Engineer.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with a major cloud provider: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform; Crossplane or another Kubernetes-native approach is a plus.
• Production-level Kubernetes expertise, including containerized deployments, scheduling, resource management, and troubleshooting.
• Experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines, advanced deployment methodologies, and monitoring and observability systems such as Datadog, Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, or ELK.
• Software engineering skills, hands-on experience shaping AI tools and agents, and a strong sense of ownership for production reliability.
