Senior Software Engineer (Apache Airflow)

Location: Hybrid in New York City, with at least 3 days per week in the office

Salary: $210,000–$250,000 annually, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Build high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested backend services for the Airflow infrastructure layer.
• Optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing cloud services.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, customer reliability support, and leadership to evolve systems and deliver business outcomes.
• Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, prototyping, and user-experience improvements.
• Join the on-call rotation and troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production incidents.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and delivering SaaS products.
• Strong proficiency in Python or Golang.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest and software development practices including CI/CD, version control, automation, and debugging.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical specification writing.
• Passion for reliability, operational excellence, ownership, and cross-functional delivery.
