Lead Java Software Engineer (Java/Spring/Azure): Building and operating cloud-native platform services, APIs, integrations, identity management, and event-driven workflows for AI-enabled enterprise solutions with an accent on distributed systems, resilience, and security-sensitive environments. Focus on leading Java engineers, driving architectural decisions, and improving performance, reliability, observability, and operational excellence on Azure Kubernetes Service.
Location: Poland; remote or office work

What you will do
- Lead a team of 2–5 Java engineers through technical guidance, mentorship, code reviews, and daily engineering support.
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based platform services, REST APIs, integrations, identity management, caching, and event-driven workflows.
- Own solutions across the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation through deployment and production support.
- Drive architectural decisions and build resilient integrations with complex external systems using scalable and fault-tolerant patterns.
- Build and operate cloud-native services on Azure Kubernetes Service and improve system performance, reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders, including support for technical solution design and pre-sales initiatives.
Requirements
- 7+ years of commercial Java development experience, including at least 2 years in a Tech Lead or similar leadership role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Maven.
- Expertise in scalable REST API design, distributed-system resilience patterns, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Redis, PostgreSQL, Azure AI Search or Elasticsearch, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and federated identity solutions.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Azure services including AKS, API Management, Key Vault, and Log Analytics, as well as GitOps and Terraform.
- Advanced English, along with strong communication, documentation, code review, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
