What you will do

  • Lead Facilities & Engineering operations supporting a commercial final drug product manufacturing facility.
  • Manage utility, HVAC, building automation, electrical, refrigeration, and facility infrastructure systems.
  • Drive reliability engineering, predictive maintenance, asset lifecycle management, operational excellence, and risk reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure engineering systems, documentation, change controls, deviations, CAPAs, and maintenance practices support GMP and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide engineering oversight for capital projects, facility upgrades, commissioning, qualification, and operational integration of new assets.
  • Lead sustainability, utility forecasting, business continuity, and infrastructure planning activities.

Requirements

  • Meet one of the education and experience pathways: doctorate with 2 years of engineering experience; master's degree with 6 years; bachelor's degree with 8 years; associate's degree with 10 years; or high school diploma/GED with 12 years.
  • At least 2 years of direct people management or leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • Preferred experience includes 8+ years in facilities, utilities, engineering, reliability, or related technical functions and 5+ years managing engineering or technical teams.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments, including GMP operations and regulatory inspections.
  • Knowledge of plant and clean utilities, HVAC, facility infrastructure, building management systems, reliability principles, CMMS, asset management, and predictive maintenance.

  • Experience leading continuous improvement, operational excellence, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to provide occasional off-hours support for critical operational needs.
