Location: On-site at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. Rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends, are required on a Panama schedule; travel is minimal and may be less than 10%.

What you will do
- Conduct real-time satellite contacts and configure command-and-control ground equipment during pre-pass, pass, and post-pass periods.
- Support mission planning, readiness, preparation, execution, and evaluation for launch, early orbit, on-orbit, and end-of-life operations.
- Perform scheduling, data trending and analysis, real-time operations, and spacecraft anomaly resolution.
- Develop and maintain mission procedures, on-console handbooks, support plans, Operations Directives, and test plans.
- Resolve operational conflicts involving acquisition, tracking, commanding, control, and telemetry data collection.
- Implement anomaly response plans, evaluate recovery actions, participate in tiger-team discussions, and prepare anomaly reports.
Requirements
- Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required.
- Typically 1–5 years of satellite operations experience; military command-and-control, intelligence, or operations management experience may substitute.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to follow procedures, checklists, and contingency plans.
- Effective teamwork and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends, on a Panama schedule.
- 40 hours per week; a bachelor’s degree is desired.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of space, satellite, or military operations experience.
- Experience operating multiple satellite families in LEO, HEO, and GEO orbits.
