Specialist Planning & Cost Engineer – Offshore Water Injection Project

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; office and offshore site rotation of 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off

What you will do

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent software.
• Establish work breakdown, coding, cost breakdown, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control systems.
• Monitor progress, commitments, expenditures, accruals, forecasts, critical paths, constraints, and delays.
• Measure contractor and vendor progress and produce SPI, CPI, earned value, S-curves, KPI dashboards, and milestone reports.
• Assess schedule and cost impacts of risks, changes, variations, and claims, and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
• Coordinate project controls across engineering, procurement, construction, offshore installation, operations, commissioning, contractors, vendors, consultants, and client representatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, quantity surveying, or a related discipline.
• 15–18 years of experience in project planning and cost control within the oil and gas industry.
• At least 5 years of experience with offshore projects, offshore water injection, brownfield modifications, offshore platforms, subsea systems, or EPC projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel, with strong reporting skills.
• Strong knowledge of earned value management, cost engineering, forecasting, contract management, claims, and variation control.
• Experience with project control systems and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Ecosys.

Nice to have

• PMP, PMI-SP, PSP from AACE, or CCP certification.
• Primavera P6 certification.
• Experience with major international oil and gas operators and EPC contractors.
