Senior AI Engineer (VideoAI)

Location: Hybrid role based in New York or Mountain View, California, with work performed from home and a LinkedIn office on select days.

Salary: $144,000–$236,000 annually, plus potential performance bonus, stock, benefits, and other incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end production machine learning systems for multimodal video understanding, recommendation, retrieval, ranking, and search.
• Translate product requirements into scalable machine learning architectures.
• Develop and deploy state-of-the-art models for video understanding, personalization, search, and safety.
• Design and evaluate online experiments for consumer-facing video products.
• Optimize distributed GPU infrastructure serving billions of recommendations with millisecond latency.
• Build systems that connect members with relevant, engaging, and trustworthy video content.

Requirements

• BA or BS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in software design, development, and algorithmic solutions.
• At least 2 years of programming experience with Java, Python, or similar languages.
• At least 2 years of experience with machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, or natural language processing.
• Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and big data, with strategic thinking.

Nice to have

• 4+ years of relevant AI or machine learning experience and an MS or PhD in a related technical discipline.
• Experience with PyTorch or similar deep learning frameworks and Spark.
• Experience with large-scale A/B testing and recommender systems in consumer products.
• Experience adapting pretrained LLMs for production, including fine-tuning and student-teacher model approaches.
• Published work in academic conferences or industry circles, or experience with AI coding tools such as ClaudeCode, Codex, or Copilot.
