Technical Sourcer (Defense)

Location: Hybrid, based out of the Torrance, California office with 2–3 days per week in office. Candidates must be residing in or near Torrance, CA, or willing to relocate to the area.

Salary: $115,000–$155,000 per year, plus potential equity and benefits.

AndrenaM builds sonar and sensing systems for maritime autonomy and defense, spanning physics, perception, hardware, software, and product development.

What you will do

• Own outbound sourcing for hardware, software, AI/ML, and other technical roles.
• Build talent maps, target company lists, and search strategies for complex cross-disciplinary roles.
• Use Boolean and X-ray search, events, referrals, and niche communities to reach passive candidates.
• Conduct initial outreach and light qualification before handing warm candidates to the recruiter or hiring manager.
• Partner with the Talent Lead and hiring managers to refine candidate profiles and employer-brand messaging.
• Track sourcing metrics and maintain accurate ATS records for every candidate.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of technology-focused sourcing experience.
• Direct experience sourcing for defense, aerospace, hardware, robotics, or adjacent deep-tech roles.
• Experience at an early-stage startup, preferably Series B or earlier, with the ability to build processes from scratch.
• Strong track record generating pipelines for niche and hard-to-fill technical searches.
• Fluency with sourcing tools and creative channels beyond job boards and inbound applications.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States or eligible to obtain required export-control authorizations without sponsorship.
