Software Engineer III (Agentic AI)

Location: Seattle, WA, United States

Salary: $102,000–$169,107.50 annual base pay; performance-based bonus and restricted stock unit awards may also be available.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain production-grade AI agents using Google ADK and other agentic platforms.
• Develop agent workflows, tool integrations, plugins, skills, and multi-agent orchestration for hirify.global’s HCM platform.
• Integrate agents with enterprise systems through APIs, MCP servers, function calling, and custom tools.
• Own delivery of agent-powered features and projects while collaborating with product management, architecture, and engineering partners.
• Contribute to technical design, code reviews, documentation, mentorship, and modern agent development practices.
• Monitor and improve service health, agent performance, reliability, cost, observability, testing, and lifecycle operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience with hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications or agentic AI systems.
• Deep expertise in one or more of Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience building production applications with Google ADK, Anthropic Claude SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agentic frameworks.
• Understanding of agent orchestration, tool-use architectures, prompt and context engineering, ReAct, and multi-agent collaboration.
• Experience integrating software or agents with enterprise systems through REST APIs, MCP, tools, and function calling.
• Experience with software architecture, design patterns, scalable and reliable systems, and a DevOps delivery model.
• Experience delivering complex software features or projects and collaborating with product, architecture, and engineering stakeholders.
• Proficiency with GCP, including Vertex AI and Google ADK, Azure including Azure OpenAI, or AWS including Bedrock, as well as GitHub.
• Experience building telemetry and observability, including execution tracing, decision logging, cost monitoring, or success-rate tracking.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, interpersonal, and technical explanation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with agent evaluation frameworks, prompt testing, tool validation, or adversarial testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production observability tools.
• Knowledge of agile software development methodologies.
• Familiarity with developing accessible technologies.
