Salary: $95,000–$130,000 USD annually, plus potential stock and cash incentives.

What you will do

  • Lead GNC and ADCS development across the spacecraft engineering life cycle.
  • Design flight software, GNC algorithms, simulations, and spacecraft autonomy tools for constellation management.
  • Select GNC components and design GNC subsystems, including fault detection and response functions.
  • Develop and execute test processes, including hardware-in-the-loop and Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Integrate flight and simulation software with analysis, testing, and mission operations tools.
  • Support design reviews, schedule and milestone planning, technical reporting, and coordination with Systems, Avionics, Flight Software, Mission Operations, Ground Software, and teams in Long Beach and New Zealand.

Requirements

  • BS degree and experience in GNC/ADCS for Engineer I, or BS degree and 2+ years of industry experience in GNC/ADCS for Engineer II.
  • Experience directly interfacing with commercial or government aerospace customers.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.
  • For U.S. office roles, eligibility under U.S. ITAR requirements is required, such as U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or applicable authorization.

Nice to have

  • MS or PhD, active DoD Secret clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • RPOD design and operations, spacecraft on-orbit operations, anomaly resolution, and flight software verification experience.
  • Hands-on experience with IMUs, reaction wheels, star trackers, gyroscopes, and other GNC hardware.
  • Experience with Jira, mentoring engineers, leading teams across project life cycles, or managing multiple projects.
  • GNC-related business development or conceptual design experience.
