GNC Engineer (Aerospace): Designing and implementing modular, mission-agnostic attitude control schemes for spacecraft platforms with an accent on control system analysis and embedded C++ implementation. Salary: $124,000 - $189,000 plus equity

What you will do

• Design and implement attitude control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment.
• Define requirements for ACS algorithms and hardware, including long-term roadmap development.
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific performance.
• Support on-orbit systems via performance trending and anomaly resolution, including on-call duties.
• Execute software- and hardware-in-the-loop (SIL/HIL) test planning and validation.

Requirements

• PhD or Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with 2+ years of professional experience, or several years of hands-on GNC analysis and design experience.
• Proficiency in C++ and numerical programming environments such as Python, Julia, or MATLAB.
• Strong knowledge of control and optimization theory.
• Experience with LEO platform attitude actuators and sensors (reaction wheels, magnetorquers, gyros, star trackers, magnetometers).
• Expertise in ADCS/GNC subsystem design and control stability analysis of flexible bodies.
• Must be a U.S. person as defined by U.S. Government export regulations (ITAR/EAR).

Nice to have

• Experience with ADCS of low-jitter precision pointing platforms, control moment gyros, and vibration isolation.
• Experience with spacecraft flight operations.
