What you will do

  • Contribute to the 6DOF simulation used for GNC algorithm development, Monte Carlo analysis, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Develop and integrate subsystem models with analysis and hardware teams.
  • Implement numerical solvers and physics-based models for aerospace vehicles.
  • Build simulation configuration, scheduling, logging, and Monte Carlo capabilities.
  • Develop interfaces between the simulation and GNC algorithms.
  • Maintain the simulation development environment and contribute to cross-functional software packages.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant full-time work experience.
  • Proficiency with compiled languages such as C++ or Rust and scripted languages such as Python.
  • Experience developing physics-based simulations of aerospace vehicles.
  • Ability to complete end-to-end projects independently and take ownership of solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, intense startup environment.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with launch vehicle or space systems design and analysis.
  • Experience integrating aerospace simulations with GNC algorithms or hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Experience implementing high-performance computing solutions.
  • Experience with Docker, continuous integration, and continuous deployment workflows.
