What you will do
- Contribute to the 6DOF simulation used for GNC algorithm development, Monte Carlo analysis, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Develop and integrate subsystem models with analysis and hardware teams.
- Implement numerical solvers and physics-based models for aerospace vehicles.
- Build simulation configuration, scheduling, logging, and Monte Carlo capabilities.
- Develop interfaces between the simulation and GNC algorithms.
- Maintain the simulation development environment and contribute to cross-functional software packages.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of relevant full-time work experience.
- Proficiency with compiled languages such as C++ or Rust and scripted languages such as Python.
- Experience developing physics-based simulations of aerospace vehicles.
- Ability to complete end-to-end projects independently and take ownership of solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, intense startup environment.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with launch vehicle or space systems design and analysis.
- Experience integrating aerospace simulations with GNC algorithms or hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Experience implementing high-performance computing solutions.
