TL;DR
QA Associate II (Quality Assurance Auditing): Supporting quality assurance assessments, document and procedure reviews, request tracking, and monthly reporting for generator sites, WIPP, and other WIPP participants with an accent on audit qualification and regulated nuclear-environmental programs. Focus on completing quality assurance checklists, coordinating technical reviews, maintaining tracking spreadsheets, and developing program documentation.

Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico, United States; permanent onsite/local position. Full-time, 40 hours per week on a 4/10 schedule. Travel is required up to six times per year. The position is not located at the WIPP site. US citizenship is required.

What you will do

  • Support quality assurance assessments for generator sites, WIPP, and other WIPP participants.
  • Complete NMED Permit-driven C6-1 Checklists for general quality assurance elements.
  • Participate as a QA Auditor and assist Lead Auditors with assigned assessments.
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance spreadsheets and track incoming review requests.
  • Coordinate document and procedure reviews and support monthly input reporting.
  • Develop and review quality assurance program documents, management procedures, and draft correspondence.

Requirements

  • Qualify as a QA Auditor under the CBFO QAD qualification process within five years of service.
  • Support quality assurance assessments involving generator sites, WIPP, and other WIPP participants.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets and accurately track incoming review requests.
  • Develop and review quality assurance documents, procedures, and correspondence.
  • Travel up to six times per year.
  • Work onsite/local full-time for 40 hours per week on a 4/10 schedule; US citizenship is required.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with quality assurance auditing or assessment activities.
  • Knowledge of CBFO QAD, WIPP, generator sites, NMED Permit requirements, C6-1 Checklists, or quality assurance program documentation.
  • Experience coordinating document or procedure reviews and supporting recurring program reporting.
