LPN - Medication Nurse (Opioid Addiction Treatment)

Location: Shreveport, Louisiana, USA; onsite clinical role

Pay: $26–$28 per hour plus bonus structure

What you will do

• Administer methadone as prescribed and monitor patients after dosing.
• Screen and assess new and existing patients to support treatment decisions.
• Collect and document urine specimens, lab work, physicals, and dosing records.
• Manage medical supplies and medication storage in accordance with DEA regulations.
• Prepare courtesy and vacation dose packages and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with counselors and nursing staff, mentor new team members, and support regulatory and accreditation standards.

Requirements

• Active LPN/LVN or RN license required; the posting specifies Louisiana licensure in one section and Virginia licensure in another.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a rotating Saturday shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment involving prolonged standing, patient care, and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Nice to have

• Experience in chemical addiction treatment.
• Knowledge of medication dispensing equipment, centrifuges, breathalyzers, and clinical assessment tools.
• Strong data entry, computer, prioritization, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records and standard office equipment.
