Payroll Apprentice (HR/Payroll): Supporting accurate, timely, and compliant payroll administration across EMEA with an accent on payroll data, monthly payroll inputs, employee queries, and payroll controls. Focus on validating employee data, coordinating payroll provider instructions, and developing practical payroll expertise through structured training toward a Level 3 HR Support qualification.
Location: Manchester, United Kingdom. Hybrid working: 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.

What you will do
- Build payroll knowledge through structured training, shadowing, and practical involvement in monthly EMEA payroll activities.
- Prepare, check, and maintain payroll-related employee data in line with internal processes and country requirements.
- Collect payroll inputs and support the preparation of monthly payroll instructions for the payroll provider.
- Validate employee data, overtime, allowances, deductions, absence-related payments, and other payroll inputs.
- Respond to employee queries through HR and payroll ticketing channels, escalating complex or sensitive matters to Payroll Specialists or the Payroll Manager.
Requirements
- Ability to work with IT systems, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Interest in payroll, HR, finance, and employee services.
- Strong desire to learn and develop professionally.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and manage multiple priorities.
- Positive attitude and commitment to continuous learning.
