.NET Backend Developer (Azure)

Location: Full remote from Prague, Czechia

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant backend services using .NET, C#, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints, including authentication and authorization with OAuth2, JWT, and Azure AD.
• Build, deploy, containerize, and orchestrate cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure using AKS, Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Implement event-driven systems with Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, or similar technologies, and optimize PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Cosmos DB performance.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Monitor system performance, conduct code reviews, maintain technical documentation, collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of backend development experience and strong expertise in .NET and C#.
• Professional experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions, AKS, Cosmos DB, and Azure SQL.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven technologies such as Kafka or Azure Event Hubs.
• Knowledge of CI/CD automation, DevOps practices, API gateways, and Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, SOLID principles, and Test-Driven Development.

Nice to have

• Experience with serverless computing, Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, GraphQL, WebSockets, real-time applications, or Helm charts.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
