TL;DR
Automation QA Lead (AI): Building and maintaining robust test automation frameworks across mobile, web, API, and microservices platforms with an accent on scalable architecture, CI/CD integration, and AI-assisted testing. Focus on leading multi-team automation initiatives, mentoring engineers, managing hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure, and evaluating AI testing workflows.
Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with mandatory office attendance three days per week

What you will do
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of scalable test automation frameworks.
- Define automation roadmaps and align testing strategies with business and development processes.
- Evaluate and optimize test tooling, including AI-assisted solutions, for continuous integration and delivery.
- Guide automation across mobile, web, API, and microservices platforms while managing on-premises labs, cloud platforms, and third-party tools.
- Mentor test automation engineers, conduct code and build reviews, and lead workshops, presentations, and technical knowledge sharing.
- Create documentation and diagrams and drive improvements in automation architecture, tooling adoption, and coding standards.
Requirements
- Experience designing and integrating test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestRail, and API automation solutions.
- Experience leading complex, multi-team testing initiatives in agile environments.
- Experience integrating automation into cloud-based CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Programming or scripting proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or a similar language, plus familiarity with database or microservices testing.
- Technical leadership experience and the ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience; willingness to travel to offshore teams if needed.
Nice to have
- ISTQB/ISEB Advanced certification and cloud certification in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with LangSmith, DeepEval, Ragas, Promptfoo, agentic workflows, RAG applications, or AI evaluation pipelines.
- Experience with contract testing, security testing, monitoring and logging tools, and advanced reporting.
- Game development or mobile gaming experience, preferably with Unity mobile applications.
