Director of Data Engineering (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role in Ramat Gan, Israel

What you will do

• Lead multiple data engineering teams and manage engineering managers and technical leads.
• Set platform strategy, architecture, and operational priorities in partnership with company and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Build, maintain, and scale ETL and ELT pipelines across databases, APIs, event streams, business systems, and data lakes.
• Oversee platform reliability, cost optimization, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise-grade observability.
• Develop scalable data solutions for internal teams and user-facing products.
• Translate business and product data needs into self-serve analytics and AI-assisted insights.

Requirements

• 7+ years of data engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience with data analysis, data visualization, and ETL/ELT pipeline orchestration.
• Mastery of distributed systems, cloud data architecture, and orchestration frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex data to business leaders.
• Experience working in B2B and SaaS companies.
• Active use and integration of AI tools to improve workflows and problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale, multi-tenant data platforms.
• Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Trino, or Spark.
• Experience with cybersecurity data and security-related platforms.
