Senior Backend Software Engineer (Go)

hirify.global is a Southeast Asian superapp providing food delivery, transportation, and financial services.

What you will do

• Design and write Go code to improve service availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency.
• Develop scalable architectures and participate in code and design reviews.
• Plan service capacity and demand, analyze performance, and tune backend systems.
• Build and scale backend services with the infrastructure team and conduct root cause analysis.
• Debug and resolve production incidents during on-call shifts while providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Collaborate with product and business teams to define and prototype features while maintaining site reliability.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's or advanced degree.
• Deep proficiency in Golang, including concurrency, standard libraries, and application optimization.
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including database performance, query tuning, and reliability.
• Experience designing scalable, internet-scale microservices on AWS or GCP.
• Expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Strong development practices including TDD, continuous integration, continuous delivery, Git, Jenkins, and unit testing.
