What you will do
- Monitor and maintain email and web security platforms for performance, availability, and secure operations.
- Investigate security alerts, events, suspicious activity, and operational issues by analyzing logs and system data.
- Manage service requests, incidents, and queues according to ITIL-based practices.
- Support security controls, platform configurations, updates, and security policies.
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve security-related issues.
- Create operational and security reports, technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles while contributing to workflow improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and relevant experience.
- Experience supporting security operations in an IT services or managed services environment.
- Hands-on experience with at least one email security or web security platform.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, common internet protocols, email authentication standards including DMARC, DKIM, and SPF, and core security concepts such as access control, encryption, data protection, and threat prevention.
- Experience with ticketing systems and queue management aligned with ITIL principles.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, time management, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with security event investigation, incident analysis, log searches, and security data analysis.
- Experience with web reputation and threat intelligence analysis.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and enterprise network environments.
- CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Network+, or similar cybersecurity certification.
- Exposure to network security architecture, engineering, or security monitoring tools.
