AU Senior Management Accountant (Xero/construction accounting): Managing daily financial operations, reporting, reconciliations, and project cost monitoring for a construction environment with an accent on Australian construction accounting, WIP processes, and P&L analysis. Focus on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and improving accounting controls and reporting efficiency.
Location: WFH or hybrid in Ortigas, Alabang, Pampanga, or Cebu, Philippines. Work schedule: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM South AU Time / 6:00 AM–3:00 PM PH Time.

The role supports financial operations and reporting for a construction-sector client.
What you will do
- Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial record keeping.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including supporting schedules for audits, tax requirements, and statutory reporting.
- Prepare and analyze P&L statements with senior leadership and support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow monitoring, and business-performance analysis.
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank accounts, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain accounting data in Xero and support the transition to a Work in Progress accounting system.
- Monitor project costs, revenue recognition, and WIP balances while identifying improvements to reporting accuracy and internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or Management Accounting is preferred.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including experience in the Australian construction industry.
- Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial data analysis.
- Experience with WIP accounting, financial reconciliations, month-end closing, management reports, and construction project costing.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general accounting principles, and P&L management, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, organization, confidentiality, problem-solving, and stakeholder-collaboration skills.
